Master Yoruba with the Fibony App

Our Story

Full disclaimer, I am Nigerian and I grew up in a household speaking a little Yoruba. Over time, my grasp on Yoruba decreased as I went through high school and then college. As a result, it became really hard for me to even hold a conversation.

Feeling a bit embarrassed about this, I embarked on this journey to learn how to speak Yoruba in 2022. In the process, I started working on Fibony. I have personally found it helpful to reconnect with my roots and learn my language using Fibony.  I hope you do as well. My Yoruba is still a work in progress and so I will continue to evolve Fibony with the rest of you as we learn together.

Fibony is coming out soon and I am looking forward to sharing it with you when it does. Stay tuned.

If you want to learn other African languages like Igbo or Twi or Hausa, please let us know. Our long-term mission is to make it easier for everyone to learn these languages as well.
